The mission of the Hardwick Elementary School counseling program is to provide a comprehensive developmental program that addresses the personal, social, academic and career needs of all students. Working in partnership with other educators, parents and the community, we promote success in school, while encouraging empathetic, critical thinking and responsible citizens in a global society.
Classroom education for ALL students
Small group support - Issues including: changing families, stress/anxiety, friendship, loss, social skills, self-esteem, empathy, etc.
Individual counseling meetings with students
Mediating conflicts (between students, parents and/or teachers)
Crisis prevention and intervention
Consulting with parents, teachers, and other community based professionals to promote student learning and well-being
Coordinating school-wide prevention efforts
Creating a safe and positive school climate for all students
Supporting the placement and transition of new students
Supporting students with social, emotion and behavioral needs

Hello there,
My name is Fawn Shore and I am the K-6 School Counselor for Hardwick Elementary. I am so delighted to be joining this amazing district and fostering the next wave of leaders, thinkers, and innovators. My background includes several years working within children’s welfare as well as home and community based services within schools. I have been so privileged choosing this career and I am looking forward to continuing my journey with Hardwick Elementary.
My goal for the year to provide a safe, supportive, and educational environment for all of our students. I believe that all children deserve access to a quality education in an environment that supports their growth and development. It is also important to me that the children feel loved and safe while at school.
