In January 2023, we welcomed Stuart Paton with Burlington Taiko as an artist in residence. We closed out a full week of learning about Japanese culture and drumming with a performance for families, friends and neighbors on Friday, January 27. We had a great turnout and students left the performance with new skills, a greater appreciation and understanding of Japanese culture and feeling successful and confident in sharing their new learning in a performance.
