About Principal Beth Parker

Hello,

My name is Beth Parker and I am the principal of Lakeview and Woodbury Elementary Schools. I am very excited to join your communities as an instructional leader for the 24/25 school year.

This is my 24th year in education, 20 of them at East Montpelier Elementary School. My background includes classroom teaching, intervention, professional development coach, instructional coach, and instructor for the Master’s in Education program through Southern New Hampshire University. These experiences have taught me the value of relationship building, finding joy in every day, creating belonging for all, and meeting students where they are.

I was drawn to the Mountain View Union ESD because of the deep commitment to community-based learning, outdoor education, and success for all students! I will strive to honor all the greatness that makes our communities who they are, and build on these strengths. I promise to partner with staff, families, and communities to build our schools to be the strongest, and most robust they can be.

My family has lived in East Montpelier for 27 years. My husband and I are empty nesters, raising 2 active golden retrievers and one cat. My son and his wife live in East Montpelier too. My daughter just finished her first year of teaching 2nd grade and is excited to return in August. She and her partner live in Montpelier. We are fortunate to have purchased a cottage on Greenwood Lake in 2020. This is truly our happy place.

I can’t wait to welcome children, families, and staff in August!

Thank you,

Beth Parker
