Overview of Mountain View Union Elementary School District
Mountain View Union Elementary School District (MVU) is comprised of the towns of Hardwick, Woodbury, Greensboro and Stannard. Students typically attend the town in which they reside. Students residing in Greensboro or Stannard may choose to attend either of our K-6 campuses for elementary school: Hardwick Elementary or Woodbury Elementary. The MVU preschool program for all towns is at the Lakeview Preschool Campus for 2025-2026. School choice for K-6 is an option within Mountain View.
Meet Our Three Campuses
Hardwick Elementary School is located in Hardwick, VT and currently serves students in grades preK-6. The school population is approximately 210 students. For 2025-2026, Hardwick Elementary will serve students in grades K-6.
Lakeview Elementary School is located in Greensboro, VT, and currently serves students in grades PreK-3. The school population is approximately 30 students. All classrooms are multiage. For 2025-2026, Lakeview will serve as the preschool campus for all Mountain View Union families and will not offer other grades.
Woodbury Elementary School is located in Woodbury, VT, and serves students in grades K-6. The school population is approximately 50 students. All classrooms are multiage.
School Leadership Structure for Mountain View
There are two principals who are responsible for school leadership between the three campuses. Bill Deiss is the principal at Hardwick Elementary School and Beth Parker is the principal at Lakeview and Woodbury Elementary Schools. The principals work in collaboration to best meet the needs of all students across Mountain View Union Elementary School District.
